Had a great dinner in Betto on Monday. Pasta with a broccoli rabe-basil pesto was subtle and delicious. The grilled plum and cheese salad, the flatbread and the cured meats were all great, and the service was lovely.
At first, the place was so empty (even for a Monday) that we started to worry whether the restaurant would succeed. Being on a side street can be tough, since you don't necessarily get the foot traffic from Bedford Street.... But it turned out that the restaurant was hosting some kind of special event. They were roasting tons of goats by the time we left. We didn't order the goat, but it smelled so good!
Anyone else want to comment on Betto in general, or any recommend any specific dishes?
