I had the most disappointing lunch at Little Beijing on Noriega St, San Francisco. The dan dan mien had a half inch of bland brown gelatinous liquid on top of the noodles. The slippery noodles were weird. Didn't seem like a total wheat noodle and lacked any toothsome texture. The Beijing eggplant was passable in a tomato based mild sauce. In contrast, the waiter was very friendly and I wanted to like the food. In this neighborhood, LY Garden is 10 times better and a few doors away.
