Beignets at Arlequin

Anya L | May 25, 2006 01:15 PM

Arlequin now has beignets: unfilled, raspberry jam, and custard. I wrote about these the other day but didn't know what Arlequin called them, so I called them Berliners. These are not the square, eggy, hollow, powdered sugar-coated kind of beignet like Magnolia serves. They are denser, round, and coated with granulated sugar. They are $1.75 each, which may be a bit steep since it's easy (for me anyway) to eat 2, but I definitely recommend them.
