Beef Fat indgredient in Snowballs

I was eating a package of hostess snowballs the other day and noticed beef fat as an indgredient. Are all snowballs made this way, or was it just that I bought them in a bodega vs. a supermarket and there's other versions of them selling about?
Personally I love snowballs, but hate the idea of beef fat as an indgredient. I prefer my beef fat well done and crispy connected to my steak.
