Beacon Report

Coachboy | Aug 5, 200411:40 PM

Tried today, first time, at lunch.

Really loud space...they need to get some sound absorbers on those concrete walls and floors. Otherwise, sorta nice in a loft like way.

Food is nice and clean, if unremarkable.

"Black" Edamame - looked green to me, tasted a little smokey, but fine.

Miso Soup - run of the mill, but $3.75. Will not order again.

Green soba salad with shrimp. Tasty cold noodles - I can make this at home for a buck.

Beacon Roll - Smoked salmon, crab and avocado wrapped in cucumber with ponzi "gelee" - tasty.

California roll - solid version

Spring rolls - ordinary.

I enjoyed lunch, and if I lived in the area might go again. But nothing is transcendant or truly memorable, so can't figure out the hype. FWIW, never thought Zenzero amounted to much either.
