Describing one of the hold over dishes ...
"Keller fitted some of the best items on the Bizou menu, such as the tempura fried green beans ($6), into the new format. This dish is my litmus test by which all other frito misto is judged. The beans are coated in a puffy batter that crunches like corn flakes, releasing a gush of steam, yielding to tender green beans that are sweet and mild."
And it comes currently with a fig dipping sauce. Well, heck. Back to my old habit of eating almost exclusively at Bizou, uh, Coco500 when in SF.
The great new thing, to me, has been the fact that the restaurant is continously open from opening to closing. so if you need a good bite at 3:30 in the afternoon it is one of the few really good places to go.
