My husband and I are new to Toronto, having just spent a few years in New York and in Hong Kong before that, where we've had some of the best chow possible.
We live downtown by the St. Lawrence market and couldn't be happier with our Saturday morning excursions. However, we've got some serious cravings for the following:
- Dimsum in Chinatown (Dundas/Spadina 'cuz we don't have a car)
- matzo ball soup and a decent pastrami or smoked meat sandwich
- Dumplings....all of 'em...soup, fried, Korean, gyoza (are there any stalls or small shops where you can get them?)
- small French bistros?
Actually who am I kidding? We love it all, but we haven't been able to conquer the above, and your suggestions won't be wasted.
