Barbacoa report (Seattle)

Recently, friends and I had two opportunities to eat at Barbacoa in Queen Anne. The first night the food was unsensational and a bit disappointing.


We gave feedback to the owners, and returned for a second night which was significantly better. I was extremely pleased that my feedback was valued, and that they had implemented a few suggested changes. This is a sign of a restaurant that cares about customer service! Dishes like the Mexican-style shrimp cocktail (served with avocado), nicely prepared salmon, and a sweetbread special were all delicious. Drinks are fun and interesting, and the flan was a great way to finish the meal.

I look forward to returning to Barbacoa, and hope that it succeeds in an otherwise doomed spot at the top of Queen Anne. Anyone else have thoughts about this place?
