What is a bap--found in London sandwich shop?

Julie | Apr 5, 2003 04:24 AM

Waiting for a member of our party to meet us at the underground station, we perused the offerings at a sandwich shop. Wrapped in celophane they had several offerings (some with tuna and sweetcorn, others with meats, etc.) called baps. The bread kind of looked like squarish bagels without holes. Some of the food in the store was Indian but these did not appear to be. Does anyone know what a bap is?
