My organization throws a yearly banquet as a thank you to all our volunteers, and every year we seem to hold it at a fairly mediocre restaurant. I was hoping the chowhounds out there could help us out with the location for this year.
*40-50 person capacity in Private Room or rental of entire restaurant on a Monday night (in May).
*Open Bar availability for at least 2-4 hours (like i said, this is a thank you gift).
*Buffet or Sitdown, we don't care.
*KOSHER OPTION FOOD REQUIRED. At our last restaurant, they just contracted out a specified # of Kosher meals and had them delivered, which was fine.
*Needs be held someplace where business attire won't look ridiculous.
*We'd prefer something on the Upper West Side/Morningside Heights Area, but anything within "reasonable distance" of Columbia Campus is ok (that's as specific as the head of the banquet committee could get for me).
*Cost of <$50 / person at the end of the story.
your help will be much appreciated on this!
