As luck would have it, Friday night was one of my annual, or bi-annual, visits to the park formerly known as Comiskey. Timing was good in many ways - not only were they winning (big surprise) but there was a lot of entertainment - it was "Ratpack" night with lots of music from the boys, including some decent imitators, people parachuting onto the field, and fireworks.
Ditka's supplied a very good Sinatra imitator, and though I admit to never dining at places named after athletes, he might be fun to see with my honey.
But on to the food, which was pretty okay. Nice polish with grilled onions and lots of mustard. And a stand serving elotes (imagine my surprise). Speaking with the young lady it came out that her dad, the restaurateur, supplies the stand. I believe they have a Mexican/Puerto Rican restaurant at Archer and Kedzie, tho she was busy and I did not get it all, like the name. I may try to find it if someone else does not know of it.
The elotes were just fine. And the show was great - victory #8, and Frank Thomas' 400th home run and all. It's nice when they win.
