My Mom asked me to post this:
"Does anyone know of a local source for the finger-sized grilled sausages (made of ground beef or a mixture of beef, veal, pork) [Ruth: actually I think I determined at the picnic they're made from ground lamb] that I got hooked on when eating in Balkan restaurants in Munich many years ago?
They're pronounced something like "che VAP chi chi" and spelled something like cevapcici.
Any Balkan restaurants in the Bay Area?
Or Serbian Orthodox churches that have potlucks and wouldn't object to a crasher?
