baked beans review

Hello everyone,

Thanks to all who gave suggestions last week for baked beans. I ended up using a recipe from the Betty Crocker cookbook. Cook beans and water on high for 2 hours in the slow cooker, then let them sit for 8-24 hours (I did 9.5, would've gone longer if I had time), then add crumbled crisped bacon, molasses, brown sugar, onion, little bit of salt. I doctored it up a bit, using half molasses and half maple syrup, and adding dry mustard, maple mustard, and some spicy maple barbecue sauce. Cooked it covered for another 13.5 hours on low, and then a half hour on high uncovered (thanks a million to whomever gave me that tip - really helped with the consistency). They came out great, though maybe would have benefited from another half hour or so on high. Again, if I had more time...
