Visited Azafran the other night with my wife. Kind of mixed feelings about it. While I thought the room was charming, warm, the service inviting, I thought the fish was somewhat overcooked and the flavorings one dimensional. The rice and beans were boring as well with not much flavor. Loved the churros dessert but at $19 for the tuna entree and I think $16 for my Mahi with both being rather small portions of fish, I wonder if it was really the value I was looking for... expecially as a seafood lover with other options in the city like Dmitris who I think blow this place away for fish preperations. I so wanted to love this place but I think it was only average and for mid $50s for dinner fo two at a byob not cheap. Did I order wrong maybe?
