Awash is an Ethiopian place on Pico. It was mostly full when I was there, and I was the only non-Ethiopian. The menu is beef-centric and they said they were out of fish. I ended up getting a chicken dish whose name I don't recall. It was like stir-fried chicken and vegetables with green chilis and no sauce, served with injera. I thought it was pretty good, certainly filling with all the injera, but I guess I was a little disappointed with how ordinary it seemed. Beef eaters might be happier.
