Autumn Court (Phoenix) Review

Upon the advise of a few fellow chowhounds, and with my brother being in the Heart Hospital, we decided to check out this place on the way to the hospital.

We were a group of 6, one being a kid who doesn't do chinese. We were greeted promptly and seated and our drink orders were taken and arrived quickly. I asked earlier in the week for a menu to be faxed, what they don't tell you is the faxed menu is different from the in house menu. Prices are different too. We ordered, crab puffs, egg rolls, bbq pork, then ordered, bbq fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, honey crisp chicken (not on the menu, but on the fax menu) and mongolian beef.

The crab puffs and eggrolls came out on the same platter and then a few minutes later the bbq pork came out. We like the bbq pork the best. Crab puffs were very small in size.

Then out came the fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken. After a few minutes, the honey chicken came out, then lastly the beef dish.

While they were all good, nothing stood out, except maybe the honey crisp chicken and the bbq pork.

The sweet and sour sauce looked nothing like in Seth's review. Ours was like water and not very red, almost a light maroon color. It tasted good, just not thick.

The service was good, almost too quick, we still were eating the egg rolls and bbq pork when they started bringing out the main dish.

As Seth said, the drinks were very large and they refilled them often.

I would return, but only if in the area.
