This year is going to be my first year to make it to this festival. I have it on good authority that the food is excellent.
Not restaurant catered, as are most festivals in this town, the food is made by the community.
I have been interested in this festival for years. (It's been around for 70 or so.) What really got my attention this year was actually looking at the menu.
I am an Ethiopian food junky. I never tried Eritrean (never had the chance) but the fact that it was part of Ethiopia until 1993 and that they serve injera makes me wanna cry. My wife even wants us to go both days. Either she loves it too or she wants me to shut up.
I might make a fool of myself begging the vendors to start a restaurant in our town.
We need it.
