Aunties and Uncles

FoodEaterz Inc. | Feb 19, 2005 05:02 PM

Had bruch today at Aunties and Uncles on Lippencott. Had heard great things about this palce from friends.

First impressions were good, small and cozy, fun/kitchy decor, neat space.

Biggest knock against this place is the service. Not only was our waiter surly, he was barely there (hard to imagine in such a small place... where the hell was he?).

On the plus side the coffee was very tasty, diner style drip brew. My cheese and veggie omelette was light and tasty. Served with standard leafy greens. My lady's scrambled eggs came with some yummy poached pears (yummy until we noticed the second hair in the bowl).

Despite the tasty food we would be hesitant to try this place in the future due to the poor service and cooler than thou attitude.
