The signage is up! Atlantic Seafood is getting ready to open in Atlantic Times Square, serving dim sum in the daytime and presumably Hong Kong style seafood at night. When the mall project was started years ago, Chowhounds had visions of magnificent Chinese dining in the soon to be built shopping complex. Then the list of eateries supposedly opening in Atlantic Times Square was released, populated by Chili's, Coldstone Creamery and Johnny Rocket's, with the declaration that the mall would be home to national chain tenants, with nary an Asian restaurant in sight. Chowhounds were crushed. However as things turned out the national tenants largely did not show up, but starting with the mall opening in late 2010 a number of successful Asian restaurants did step in with new branches. So far the restaurants have been cafe, casual style eats. But finally the Chinese seafood restaurant we were hoping for appears to be shortly on the way. Hope it's worth the wait.
