Asian Pearl, Richmond.

Finally had a chance to go to this place for dim sum. It's owned by the same group that owns New Canton, the best dim sum place in Sacto. Asian Pearl is relatively new and located in the Pacific East mall in richmond.

Since there were only two of us we could only sample a limited number of dishes. One of the big disappointment was the non-appearance of har gow, our standard dish for comparing different dim sum places. Another one is the just warm temperature of many of the dishes, esp. the ones being taken around the room in trays. They do have a long list of cook to order dishes. We did not try any of them.

And the prices are pretty steep. Their medium plates are $2.95, large plates are $3.50. We think we only ended up with one small plate out of about 8 different dishes.

Conclusion, we'd go back to Saigon for dim sum in this area.
