While helping my parents re-organize their garage recently, I came across a copy of a "Where To Eat In America" authored by restaurant critic Paul Wallach. The book was published in the early 80s and the section devoted to Los Angeles was a fascinating read indeed. I recall even back then as a junior high student that LA had a reputation as a gastronomic wasteland and I must admit, its section was fairly thin in relation to the other cities. Among the listings which caught my eye was one for Art's Chili Dogs located on the now infamous corner of Florence and Normandie. Is is still around and if so, how are the dogs?
