Argentine Grill

We’re hounds from San Francisco and were in Palm Harbor to have a family reunion. As it turns out we had to take our Mom to the hospital and our time revolved around her care. We did sniff out an enjoyable restaurant, Latin American Cafe at 3780 Tampa Road in Oldsmar. (phone is 813)855-0332) I wasn’t in a chowhound note-taking frame of mind but would like to pass on some information.

It is described as an Argentine Grill, and so as you might expect, there was a lot of beef. We found out that the meat is organic! We ordered “flap” steak, which we never heard of. It was one pound, so we split it. It was very succulent with great flavor. The side options we ordered were black beans and plantains. Very excellent. If memory serves, it was around $17.00.

We shared a flan with dulce de leche, also excellent.

Yes we drank wine, got a little drunk – we needed it after hospital duty. The menu had plenty of reasonably priced bottles, but I do not recall the details of what specifically we ordered. Sorry.

It is an Argentine family operation. If we lived in the area we would certainly return.
