I lost my recipe for canned Apple Butter cooked in the crockpot. I did a google search, and can only find recipes that use no sugar or white sugar.
I remember my recipe had brown sugar. It also had you simply quarter the apples and then throw everything - seeds, stems, skins, in the crockpot on low with a bit of apple cider. Next day, run through sieve, add spices (???) and brown sugar (amount?) - cook down, then water process for 10 minutes.
I'll wing it if needed, but thought I would check first to see if someone had similar recipe with spices, proportions, etc.
