Every yr I have a family birthday party for my Aunt. This year, she'll be 83, she has a good appetite & likes all kinds of food, I always ask her what she wants for her birthday dinner & she always says "what ever you make." I have 20 guests coming on Saturday to a park, it's still 90 degrees here in Southern CA. My menu is grilled chicken sliders, grilled salmon sliders, Greek Salad, Asian coleslaw, all kinds of topping and a pickled platter including, cherry peppers, pickled okra, pickle spears & olives. Lemonade, ice tea. Thinking of ordering an ice cream cake. I need an appetizer, half the family is on time, the other half we wait for (I give them 30 mins) I'd like to have something for the on time folks to nimble on while we wait. Any ideas? I was thinking fruit, but any other ideas?
