Went to Apizz friday night. After seeing the menu online, I could not wait to dive in. Started with the antipasto platter, which was excellent- the meats were fresh as could be. Tried the salad with artichokes which was also good. From there, the meal went downhill. Everything comes out of a huge brick oven, which sounds wonderful. However, the oven imparted too much of a smoky flavor to the pizza, wild boar lasagne, and meatballs. It was just a little too overpowering. The wild boar lasagne was very light on the sauce, and I thought the meat itself was on the dry side. I have to say the service was great tho. Very fridnly staff. I'd try it again- maybe it was just an off night.
