Ann Arbor Thin-Crust Pizza

J & L | Jun 8, 2003 08:26 PM

ISO good thin-crust pizza in Ann Arbor, we recently visited a few of the local parlors to partake of their shallow-shelled offerings. Results are below, in descending order of deliciousness.

Faz’s Hello Pizza. Very good. Tangy, flavorful sauce. Extra points for a funny pricing scheme.

NYPD. Good. Best local approximation of the famous foldable NY pie. A few more minutes in the oven would have made a better crust.

Grizzly Peak. OK. Wood-fired oven pie a la Wolfgang Puck. Overload on the toppings resulted in a soggy, mushy middle.

Pizza House. OK. Surprisingly similar to a Pizza Hut pie, with a less crispy crust. Points deducted for inventing the Chipati.

Cottage Inn. OK.

Leonardo’s. Forgettable.

Argiero’s. If only we could forget. A gooey, gloppy mess that shows remarkable self-healing power: remove a piece, and a minute later the cheese has flowed in to completely fill the gap.

Interested in others' experiences as well . . .
