A friend and neighbor recently turned me on to a butter called (and/or marketed as) Amish Butter. Not only good, but ASTOUNDINGLY good. Vibrant yellow in color (yellower than the "Irish" and "European" butters I've liked), and richer, creamier and smoother than any butter I've ever tasted.

My friend found it locally in Seattle, but it is made in Wisconsin by Alcam Creamery. http://www.alcamcreamery.com/ Normally $4/pound, it's now $3. It's worth $10/pound IMO.

Anyone else familiar with Amish Butter, and why it is SO much better than what's usually offered in grocery stores?

Aloha,
Kaleo
