Any chow news on Ambrosia at the OC Pavilion in Santa Ana (formerly near Lido Isle in Newport Beach)? I know the chef is not the same person, although the proprieter is. When I met the Catering chef, it seemed very promising. However, the "snacks" at an after-show party in the bar area were odd, less than delicious, and overpriced. Entertainment was great and the restaurant itself, beautifully designed. But what about the chow? Anyone? It's a considerably long drive for me now to visit there and there are certainly great places to eat on the way to or in the area of Ambrosia.
