Restaurants & Bars 2

Had a dissappointing and expensive experience at AMADA last evening. Wine list is great and reasonable, pours generous. Tapas, extremely skimpy portions with a high price tag. Small portions are fine, but the high prices do not justify a return visit. The tuna flat bread(s) is a laughable portion for $12-$14, four anchovies, salad of shredded lettuce and a few sprigs of asparagus, and three tiny salt cod fritters. Nothing stood out a being memorable, fortunatley my bar partner was great.

In addition, the crowd and the vibe is not to my liking. Slick patrons with cell phones, neck ties, and too much smoking at the bar. Did not feel like a comfortable place for this city dweller. Suburban folks getting all 'decked-out' to be in the city. Someone must have money to spend.
