Allium Cafe, Brookline’s stoner food extraordinaire

Zadoopie | Aug 24, 201806:15 AM     3

Now this is eating: flavors pop at you like you’ve done a number. There’s a soppresata sandwich only in the case, not on the menu, that keeps taking my money, which is saying a lot at $12 but half is enough because it’s so rich. The salads are freaking gorgeous with tons of flavor, like a long-term banging on your flavor centers. The grilled cheese, which has some hot jelly in it, is the love your munchies demand. The cheese and charcuterie plates are so good and beautiful you feel under-dressed. And they make really good coffee. It’s all premium ingredients, carefully thought out, made with if not love then a good facsimile thereof.
