I'm searching for an authentic recipe for the cookies known as Alfajors (sp?). I believe they are south american in origin. Traditionally, flaky pastry rolled thin in approx 2" circles, baked and sandwiched with cajeta.
Anyone know of these?
And by the way, they are served at the Peruvian restaurant in West Portal named Fresca, although they are not made there. Fresca has some wonderful Peruvian dishes.
