Alberto's is a family-run Italian place tucked in a
shopping center at the corner of Forest Hill and
Kirk Rd. Had a great meal, starting with calamari en
marinara with toasted garlic bread. Not the usual
fried, but tiny squids blanched in saltwater and
sauteed in a tangy marinara sauce. Delicious.
Ordered the veal marsala for 12.95, which came with
a bowl of pasta fagioli, nice house salad, spaghetti
w/marinara and more crusty garlic bread. I like a little more wine in my sauce, but it was smooth and
mellow nonetheless, the veal tender and loaded with mushrooms. My wife had a meatball sub, which was actually the size of two subs. We had two beers apiece
and left with enough food for another meal. The bill
came to $38.00. The squid app.,salad and bread would
have been enough, the best I've had in a while.
