African peanut gravies and Western versions of Pad Thai

Paul | Apr 25, 2006 11:35 PM

Few days ago, in a post regarding pad thai, Fenian mentioned "delicious Western versions of Pad Thai that consist of rice noodles in a slightly spicy peanut gravy." Where in the Boston area can one get such a dish? Is the chow foon dish at Pho Republique representative of what you were referring to, fenian?

Also, in the same post, fenian refers to tasty African peanut gravies? Is anyone aware of an African restaurant in the area that serves peanut gravies? Are they typically eaten with fu-fu? TIA
