I've been an on & off aspiring cook for a little while now, mostly cooking things that my grandmother has shown me how to cook / has cooked for me in the past. I've recently started expanding into baking things like salmon or steaks and such, and had an idea for a recipe and wanted some advice on what to do.
The idea I have in mind is similar to the recipe I have for goulash (just small macaroni elbows, stewed tomatoes, and ground beef with seasonings) — but I wanted to try baking it, maybe in a small bread pan or a circular cake pan I have lying around (unsure of the dimensions currently!). Is it as easy as boiling the macaroni, cooking the ground beef (maybe not all the way for either?), tossing them in the pan and baking them for X amount of time? I don't think it is, but I wanted to ask for advice before I tried doing something new!
I will also take suggestions for variations, like adding cheese or bread crumbs / what-have-you! I want to expand my horizons further!
Thanks for the advice ahead of time,
