Don't Go

Peter Cuce | Feb 10, 2004 10:15 AM

Some friends and I had an execrable meal at Go, an izakaya on St Marks, this past Friday. We sampled widely from the menu: onigiri, yakisoba, kabocha, oyako-don, fried squid, and other items. Everything except the kabocha was poorly prepared and as exciting as sawdust. My oyako-don might as well have been unseasoned cubes of protein over rice. The kabocha was nothing to write home about, but at least it had taste. Go has a fun scene, but if you want a good scene and good food, I'd recommend Village Yokocho around the corner.
