2018 Stainless steel wok query!

suznews | Oct 18, 201810:44 AM

Hi. I've been poring over previous posts and responses and wanted to see if there are new options. I'm back from living in Hong Kong, now staying with Mom, and trying to stir fry in front of someone FUSSY about keeping her induction top PRISTINE. Fry pans make a mess. Currently I'm using a Creuset casserole, but that's not ideal. The carbon steel I bought from my usual wok supplier was so cheap, it wouldn't sit flat. So I'm seeking help.

The pan must work on an induction and must not have to be oiled on the outside (because that makes a mess and mom CANNOT HAVE MESSES.) I don't do teflon or traditional non-stick. I was considering a Calphalon stainless steel or perhaps a Green Gourmet. (Good prices at Home Depot.) Need my (mother approved) wok hei.

This Cook's Standard is a leading contender.
