2 days in Tokyo - sentimentality or something new?

Hi everyone! Just discovered this forum and it's been such fun looking through all your posts, especially the trip reports. The mister and I are heading to Tokyo in early June for a couple of days and he lets me do all the planning, but I can't make up my mind when we have such limited meals. So, 3 questions I would be grateful for input on:

1) I am currently trying to decide between a revisit to Ode/Le Sputnik, both of which we dined at in early 2018, but a quick check on instagram (location tag) shows that the dishes don't look too different from what we had then. Are there any new/up-and-coming fusion places worth checking out for lunch? We have also previously dined at Anis and Craftale.

2) We'd love to have some "bold" sushi; i.e. strong flavours. We don't have much experience with sushi; our all time favourite is Tenzushi in Kitakyushu but apart from that have only been to Ginza Iwa in Tokyo. I know June is not the best time for fish, so would it be better to save sushi (and the $) for another trip? We come back to Japan a few times a year, although not necessarily to Tokyo.

3) Any good places for teppanyaki? Preference is for Saga beef.

We are staying at the Andaz, so I would hope they can help with reservations. I speak decent Japanese, although my husband does not.

Thanks in advance!
