12" All-clad D7 Fry Pan (impossible beast to find?)

I bought a 10" few years ago but now can't find them anywhere when I wanted to get a 12". I heard a rumor that they are discontinued. Such a pity, as IMO they are the best line All-clad had offered.

I have a demeyere atlantis and 3-4 cast iron pans, but when I want the best crust and don't want to preheat cast iron in oven, I don't go for my atlantis, or copper but I go for my d7 from all-clad. To me, it's like the better version of cast iron. I had very good luck with steaks (pre-heat it with lid on for 5 min on medium heat). I even once made a very fancy shoe string monkfish, where I made strings with mandoline and wrapped it around the monk fish and then did a very quick sear for 3min per side and finished in oven. Getting pan hot was key to getting very nice crust and not overcooking inside (I also kept fish at a slightly chilled temp). I tried it before with cast iron and other pans, but my D7 worked the easiest for me. I also use it at least once a week to quickly saute mushrooms. Get the pan hot, add mushrooms and salt, cook for 5-7 min until they are brown, add bit of garlic, shallots, and red wine 3-4 min later to deglace. Perfect side dish for many things, from burgers to rice to pasta.
