i don't want. . . . .

I see someone on the SF board referred to himself as Neanderthal. I'm acknowledging that I am too. I find it refreshing. I'm 64,love to cook, entertain, eat, discuss, and learn about all food and, of course I love to eat. I read posts, look at menus, and often think to myself "yuk".
I live in the Los Angeles area, so everything is available but I find I don't like\want everything and am curious if others feel the same.
For example someone posted about " training your nervous system to like spicier food". Really????
I have a long list of "tried but do not like" foods that needs updating. Please don't bash me.
1. Quinoa
2. Kale
3. Brussel sprouts (yes I've had them prepared "right")
4. Chipotle anything.
5. Offal and organs.
6. Fennel and its pollen
7. Salmon
8. Wasabi
9. Siracha
10. The ubiquitous goat cheese and stinky cheeses
I find these ingredients everywhere and very popular.

Conversely, there are things I like that others don't so much.
1. Beets
2. Eggplant
3. Ricotta salata
4. Blue cheese
5. Radicchio
6. Mushrooms
7. Beef ribs (preferred over pork)
8. Split pea soup
9. Fish tacos with crispy shells
10. Chicken livers

Neither list is comprehensive, just off the top of my head of what I've experienced.
I'm really interested in hearing others thoughts. I don't see myself so much as " stick in the mud" regarding food trends as I do being old enough to decide I know what I want and don't.
