Lombardi's Coal Oven Pizza
Lombardi’s, in Nolita, has been recognized as the first pizzeria in New York and the entire country. The pizzeria opened in 1905, closed in the 80s and then reopened just down the block. It’s one of the few coal oven pizzerias in the city. But beware: Unlike most pizza joints in New York, this one only sells pies, no slices.
