Carson-based Tony’s Barbecue & Bibingkinitan is known for its simple menu of grilled, Filipino-style skewers accompanied by a gooey teriyaki sauce. Lucky for Long Beach residents (or those passing through), an outpost just opened up there. It’s “a good option for a quick, squeaky-clean lunch spot … with easy freeway access,” says cant talk…eating.
Tony’s skewers are grilled to order and served superfresh, cant talk…eating says. There are several pork options, including loin and belly, not to mention chicken, squid, and salmon. The skewers are served with papaya pickle and yellow rice flavored with bits of ground pork. For dessert, try a bibingkinitan, a pandan-leaf-wrapped rice pudding–y cake.
