If you’re in the South Bay with a serious case of the munchies, Robert Lauriston reports on a new doughnut shop in Campbell that will satiate the urge for highly caloric junk food. Psycho Donuts is turning out donuts in the vein of Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, “topped with all kinds of unlikely stuff such as cereal, pretzels, graham crackers, green tea, cayenne … I’m not sure I’d want to eat them, but they’re good for a laugh.” Hoss checked them out on opening day and says the doughnuts are “good, but they’re a load … I think they’ll do well with the stoner market.”

Or you could drive up to SF’s Mission District and stop into the Caffeinated Comics Company, serving Four Barrel Coffee, comic books, and free wi-fi. Absonot says that it’s a good place to “enjoy a fantastic espresso or cup of french press without any wait or any hipsters who make you feel square.” sarahlefton agrees: “I can report a DELICIOUS, perfect espresso with zero attitude and a smile to boot last week. I actually went outside and told 2 random people to stop in.”
