Didn’t get your fill of prime rib over the holidays? Feeling light in the pocket after an orgy of gift-buying? Lucky for you, there are some great deals on prime rib dinners around town.
Brazen Head (the pub celebrates its 30th anniversary this year) is offering the great deal of a prime rib dinner for $20.10 on Monday and Tuesday. You get about about 10 ounces of certified Angus prime rib. “It was tender and VERY tasty and was served medium rare, as we requested,” says DavidT. Sides are baked potato and sautéed veggies. Good thing the bill won’t be large, because it’s cash-only.
The well-regarded Alexander’s Steakhouse announced its $35 Prime Rib Sundays starting January 9: a 12- to 14-ounce portion of prime rib, side dish, and its signature hamachi shooter, available at the San Francisco branch only.
But if it’s, say, a Thursday, you’d do well to head to House of Prime Rib. “HOPR does roast beef and they usually do it very well,” says wolfe.
