At a recent party that included a lot of fancy wines, I tried the 2004 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Clos du Val. It was my favorite. A big, intense red from Napa with interesting spice, it’s the kind of wine that would get everybody talking if you pulled it out at dinner. (It might even overshadow the food.) At $105, it’s a little pricey, but if I were looking for a great gift or cooking a dinner for someone special, I would definitely pick it up.
