This French rosé may be small in price, but it is decidedly big in reputation. Back in 2017, a panel of wine experts declared this wine one of the best values (at £5.99) in the world at the International Wine Challenge’s Great Value Awards in London. The German discount grocery chain introduced the rosé wine to the U.K. market in 2016 before heading over the pond to share the riches with us Americans in 2017. Unsurprisingly, it’s sold out very quickly every year since.
“This sensational Rosé blend delivers delicate yet intense flavors of strawberry and white fruit aromas, with a subtle quartzy spice,” Aldi’s site promises, assuring good pairings with grilled fish, salads, or as an apéritif.
According to the Aldi site, the Exquisite Collection Côtes de Provence Rosé will not be available in all locations (and prices may vary), so you will have to keep your fingers crossed that a shipment is headed your way.
