Turkey and Sausage Meatloaf

I wanted to find a way to make Turkey Meatloaf tender and juicy. I think I really accomplished that with this recipe. The Townhouse crackers give this meatloaf an almost buttery texture as it melts in your mouth. Veggies and sausage (you could probably use turkey sausage if you don’t like pork, but I would definitely suggest the pork) give you the meaty texture you look for with the basic meatloaf. This is better then any meatloaf I have ever had. I hope you enjoy!

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2Heat olive oil in a skillet on med. Add chopped vegetables besides garlic and sauté. When almost tender add garlic. When garlic is fragrant remove from pan and let cool.
  3. 3Add ground turkey, sausage, eggs, crackers and seasonings to a large bowl. When sautéed vegetables are cool add to meat mixture and mix with hands till just incorporated.
  4. 4Shape meat mixture onto a greased cookie sheet. Whisk together ketchup, dijon mustard, vinegars, granulated garlic and maple syrup and brush evenly over the loaf. Bake in oven for about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Juices should run clear.
