Tofu New York Style Cheese Cake
This is my rendition of Ny Style Cheese Cake. Lactose – free style. My son and the rest of my family love it. They are all able to have milk and can’t tell the difference.
You may also apply a fruit topping if you prefer.
- (4) 8 Ounce packages of Tofutti Cream Cheese - plain
- 1 & 1/2 cups of white sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup Toffuti sour cream
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 15 Graham Crackers Crushed
- 2 tbsp margarine melted
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease a 9 inch spring form pan
2In a medium bowl mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press onto bottom of the pan.
3In a large bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Pour in milk and combine. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just enough to incorporate. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour until smooth. Pour over crust
4Bake for approx 70 minutes. Keep checking after 60 minutes. It is done when the middle is set. It may require more time depending on your oven temp. When done turn off oven, but keep cake in oven for approx 4-6 hours to prevent cracking. This has always worked for me. Store in refrigerator.
