Caramel Hot Chocolate

We took the common sauce toppings for ice cream sundaes—chocolate and caramel—and threw them together in this decadent hot chocolate.

What to buy: For this recipe, use high-end chocolate, such as El Rey 41 percent milk chocolate.

Make your own caramel sauce or buy a good-quality one.

Instructions

  1. 1Combine milk and cream in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until simmering, about 4 minutes.
  2. 2Add chocolate and whisk until completely melted, about 2 minutes. Whisk in caramel sauce until incorporated. Serve immediately.
