During a very nice and atmospheric dinner at Rodney's, I ordered the fresh dungeness carb (market price, natch).
I usually always ask the market price, but since this was the type of dinner where I felt uncomfortable doing so, I neglected to do this.
The price? $75.
I paid of course, but seriously rued the servers recommendation against the scallops and towards the crab.
Mentioning this to my father during dinner at the kitchen bar at Jamie Kennedy's Wine Bar, the chef walks over and said "You paid HOW MUCH?".
Did I get taken? The crab was declicious, but if the chef at JKWB thought this was high, I was a-wondering...
