A new spot on montana and i begin to have visions of the ability to walk to a dining experience. Taking over the old Wolgang Puck is a new YU. With all of the wantabe AOCs out there- here is yet another- and here is yet another disappointment.
The food that we ordered was nondescript and bland. For $9, you get three "lemongrass crusted" ribs. One was dry, two were fatty, and all lacked taste. The three dipping sauces were needed to add any flavor.
Next up was Dynamite tempura Rock shrimp- Greasy with an orange colored glaze that once again had no taste to completment the shrimp.
A flattened quail with a pomagrante glaze was cooked well, however once again- the dipping sauces were necessary to pump up the dish.
Manila clams were the best item ordered, but came nowhere close to the clams you can get at any decent chinese seafood house.
Desert was the highlight- a coconut milkshake with three little cookies and a chocolate tart.
Overall not worth it- maybe with time the chef will learn to use the ingredients and flavors of Asia, which the name and decor suggests.
